Having grown up on a 5000 acre working cattle ranch near a small town named Lipan, TX, Cody is no stranger to the hardworking lifestyle of ranching. His western traditional upbringing and his mother and father's influence of traditional sounding country/gospel music inspired Cody at a very young age to start singing and performing in Church, school specials, and local town festivals growing up.

Through the years he delivered powerful meaningful songs at church services, weddings, funerals, and graduations up until his early 20's when he wrote his first song. Everyday is an original song written as a tribute to the woman that he found his inspiration in 'his Grandmother Melba Fay Thompson ..

" Cody's music career began professionally early in 2012 where he performed locally in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area. Cody's music was entered into several contests during this year and some of his awards was winning a spot to be interviewed on the "Live from Nashville Show" with Kenny Lee and Kage and artist of the month on Clays Country Radio. 2013 proved to be just as successful with the release of his debut album "Waiting on the Midnight Train". Cody spent most of the year promoting his album at Live shows all over North Texas while his music began to be heard world wide. Cody's first single "Turnin Blue" reached No. 5 on the Top 40 singles chart in Denmark for International Radio Airplay. Cody was also listed in the Nashville Music Guide June 2013 CMA Festival edition as an "Artist on the Rise" and was a featured guest on the television program "Horse Country USA" spirit horse episode. Lastly, Cody received several nominations such as male artist of the year, songwriter of the year, and band of the year on Clays Country Radio 2013 Awards.

Cody's fans world wide are steadily building up. All generations are drawn to this young man that puts the country back into country music.
